Team Breakdown
Auburn enters 2026 with a fully revamped roster, particularly on offense, while retaining young, NFL-caliber talent on defense. New HC Alex Golesh brought key pieces of his high-octane USF offense, headlined by QB Byrum Brown, WR Jeremiah Koger and Chaz Nimrod. Jeremiah Cobb and Baylor transfer Bryson Washington give the backfield a dynamic speed-and-power combination. Defensively, Xavier Atkins, Rashawn Pleasant, Eric Winters and Jared Smith headline a talented group, while FSU transfer Shamar Arnoux adds even more upside to the secondary. Auburn is not lacking talent, putting the spotlight on Golesh to put it all together in Year 1.
Strengths
Young NFL-caliber defensive talent; Proven pieces from Golesh’s USF offense; Dynamic RB duo; Talented secondary
Questions / Concerns
